Stamp of approval: Bloxham housing development gets the go-ahead
We are pleased to have received the green light for a new residential development in Bloxham, Oxfordshire, on behalf of our clients, William Davis Homes. The resolution to grant outline permission by Cherwell District Council’s Planning Committee follows the careful negotiation of the application, with Define providing planning, masterplanning and landscape advice.
The development will deliver up to 130 new homes, including up to 46 affordable units, making a significant contribution to addressing both the market and affordable housing needs of the area.
The approved masterplan has been thoughtfully developed to ensure the creation of an attractive, landscape-led scheme that responds sensitively to the site’s setting and protects the ancient trees within it. Over 50% of the site will be provided as public open space, including play space that lies at the heart of the scheme, and a substantial package of local infrastructure improvements will be secured.
This is a really positive result, endorsing the efforts of the client and consultant team, and close collaboration with officers. We look forward to seeing the development progress!
