A Soaring Success: Outline Consent Granted at Barrow upon Soar

A unanimous decision by Charnwood Borough Council’s Planning Committee hails a key milestone Bloor Homes’ site at Barrow upon Soar.

The decision will enable the delivery of 220 homes and a new primary school, and follows Define’s promotion of the site, securing its allocation through the emerging Local Plan. The site forms a key part of the Council’s strategy for growth, with the proposed new primary school unlocking the delivery of around 700 new homes across the settlement.

This represents an important step forward for a number of key stakeholders. Bloor Homes remains committed to delivering much-needed new homes alongside the new school site at the right time. Define is currently progressing discussions with the local authority to secure approval of the detailed design.
