Our response was to create a series of cascading terraces that would give us the opportunity to restore the natural habitat whilst creating a visually striking sculptural landscape. The ‘Striations’ were designed to reflect a landscape carved out of stone being reclaimed by nature. These were constructed from Kentish Ragstone, a local stone reflective of the local area.
The planting scheme consisted of large swathes of UK native wildflowers and tree planting; reminiscent of the natural landscape that once existed here.
