That began with the preparation of a masterplan to communicate the vision for a new community on the edge of this market town. That purposefully took a landscape-led approach; green corridors through the scheme shaping the distinct character that draws on the existing stream and hedgerows. In turn, this sensitively responds to on-site ecology, with naturalised green spaces accommodating drainage features and landscaping that enhances biodiversity, whilst forming an attractive setting for residents of the new neighbourhood.
A permeable network of corridors offers active movement links into Hinckley and the surrounding countryside, that are punctuated with focal spaces for socialising, sport and play. This reinforces the opportunities for ensuring the health and well-being of the residents.
